Scientific review on the assessment in the polytrauma patient. The care of the polytrauma patient includes a sequenced,orderly and detailed assessment of the body, from head to toe. To improve survival and possible sequeale, the patient must be stabilized immediately and transferred to a hospital center as soon as possible. Both in the initial assessment, stabilization, continuos reassessment, nursing must act and manage the patient globally.
