I’ve always loved this book and I love it more and more with each reread. Jack Ryan is a great hero. Not an action star but the brave smart hero we don’t get often enough. There’s also something intriguing about the spy days before computers and smartphones that makes it more appealing and intelligent.

Patriot Games was great.

A little gritty and slow at times, but overall, very good.

I didn’t like the whole pretext from begging to end.

Even when there isn’t a war of some kind, Tom Clancy can write a suspenseful story and keep you entertained.

Characters plot and clever dialogue

The show on amazon is better.

A terrific book, a wonderful read.

I would have given this book a rating of five stars if Tom Clancey had let me know what happened to the character of O'Donnell.
