I’m in my early 30s so when I started reading Clancy in high school it was mostly Jack Jr and Campus focused. The only original Clancy I had read at that time was Rainbow Six. Knowing so much about the bond between Clark and Chavez it was refreshing to finally read their origin story. Highly recommend!

The book was so well thought out

Several times in this book Clancy uses the Spanish word “mano” and his usage is totally incorrect. Example: “Hope you like to run, ’mano.” Clancy thinks the Spanish word “mano” means the English word “man”, when “mano” actually means “hand”. That mistake detracts from the reading enjoyment. Thus he is saying “Hope you like to run, hand.”

This book was awesome. Loved it.

I always enjoy Tom Clancy novels, although I've always avoided reading books after seeing the movie. Well, I changed up and read "Clear and Present Danger" and I'm very glad I did! Much better than the movie, (aren't they always) the book was a much better story than the movie. Terrific read.
