Politics is not just a struggle for power; it is a history of people's hopes, dreams, struggles, and changes. In the contemporary political history of West Bengal, there are some personalities whose lives and works have left a deep impact on the minds of the common people. Suvendu Adhikari is one of them.
In this book, I have tried to highlight various aspects of his political life—his childhood, student politics, Nandigram movement, role as an MP and minister, joining the BJP, activities as the leader of the opposition, political philosophy, personality, public support, and future prospects.
It is not always easy to judge a political figure. Because in politics, as there are successes, there are also controversies. Therefore, while writing this book, I have tried to maintain a fact-based and balanced presentation.
This book is not political propaganda; rather, it is a sincere attempt to present the life and times of an important political leader of Bengal to the reader. I hope that by reading the book, readers will be able to understand the political reality and the trend of change in West Bengal in a new way.
If this book is able to provide even a little food for thought in the reader's mind, then my hard work will be worthwhile.
