Description

For twenty years, Tasha Pike has dreamed of spending one perfect summer at Sand Dollar Point.

The grand Victorian perched above the beach in Summerbury, Maine has always represented everything she wanted—romance, adventure, and the chance to finally live the life she imagined as a girl. This summer, that dream is finally within reach.

Until she arrives and discovers she's been double-booked.

The other guest? Spencer Ellis—Hollywood's favorite leading man, notorious heartthrob, and the last person Tasha wants invading her vacation.

Spencer offers a simple solution: share the house.

Tasha would rather sleep on the beach.

After years in the spotlight, Spencer came to Maine looking for peace, privacy, and a chance to figure out what comes next. Falling for the beautiful woman who rolls her eyes every time he opens his mouth was definitely not part of the plan.

But long walks on the shore turn into late-night conversations. Irritation turns into attraction. And the more time they spend together beneath the Maine summer sun, the harder it becomes to ignore what's happening between them.

Because for the first time in his life, Spencer has met someone who sees beyond the fame.

And for the first time in hers, Tasha is living a romance better than any fantasy she ever imagined.

Summer with a Star is a heartwarming, steamy beach romance filled with forced proximity, small-town charm, sizzling chemistry, and a happily-ever-after you'll never want to leave behind.

It was ok. Tasha being so insecure got old real quick. I didn’t feel a connection at all between Spence and Tasha. Felt forced. Non believable.

Interesting read, just wish they would stop the bad language, it doesn’t add to the story. Truly there are enough words to use others, without being low class.

This book is boring. I skipped most of the pages and that was still left too many. Don't waste your time!

I was getting so tired of the main character doubting herself tho!!! That got wayyyy too frustrating for me... Man up girl!
  • Mostly Irritating

I tried to finish the book and while I like some aspects of the two main characters, the dialogue in this book is mostly amateur. It's also irritating the way Tasha talks down on herself throughout the book.

I loved this heartwarming book because of the honesty of the lead characters, the witty dialogue, fun supporting characters, and scenes that sizzle. As a celebrity, Spencer finds himself burned out and needing time away from the public eye. He gets more than he bargained for during his vacation. You never know when or where you're going to find love. Although I was often irritated by the inner turmoil of Miss Pike, the book reveals her journey of learning to trust and feel worthy which can be rocky.

A little cliche but so worth it. I read it all in one day I was so hooked! It's just such a great story.
