This is the second time I’ve read this and it won’t be the last! It took me a long time to learn how the author was telling the story but then it grabbed me by the heartstrings!

Mr. Backman is a masterful storyteller and this is another amazing story he has crafted. As an old man myself who has experienced more losses of family and friends than I can sometimes bear, it was so easy to relate to this storyline. Lots of smiles and even out loud laughs as I read this book, but also lots of tissues to wipe away tears as I reminisced about my own life. Thank you Mr. Backman.

I would have loved to have him as my neighbor. Not very many ethical people around anymore. Except in my neighborhood I have not watched this movie and I probably won’t. I do not like watching a movie after I have read a very excellent book.

It’s hard to express in so few words the love and joy in this book.

I don’t read novels at all honestly only read books on self improvement and finances, but I’m honestly glad I read this book 4.9 stars for me

A delightful tale of one man’s sorrow and grief that gets interrupted in the most delightful of ways.

If only people would read this beside the adaptation movie

This is the second book I’ve read by Fredrik Backman and I will say he’s an amazing author! His books are such easy reads, the chapters short but impactful. Backman manages to cover the ups, downs, and all of the area in between with his works. Would recommend and would most definitely read again!

Loved cantankerous Ove, his amazing mechanical & construction skills, his unfailing, devotion to Sonja then Parvaneh her daughters & his unique world view. ❤️❤️
