Absolutely loved this book!

A surprising read that made me feel happy, sad, hopeful, and excited for the future. It truly transported me into the lives of the story’s characters. Hopefully it will transport you too.

Heartfelt and romantic.

Fell in love with Tilly, the Book Lane crew, her sister and all the new friends she will meet along the way as she prepares to take off on a journey to heal from the grief of losing her husband and uses his gift of a book a month of a year to push herself to try the new things in many of the books and follow the advice he writes for her in each letter the books have inside them. Her serendipitous meeting with Alice and the way her late husband has had some influence in their relationship made my heart swell. Such a lovely story with some incredible books listed in it that I plan to read. I loved that the bookstores suggested book list was included in every chapter at the beginning, it was such a great segue into that chapter and also gives the reader more options for their own TBR pile!
