You know a book is great when you can’t wait to see what happens next and it takes you on the full emotional roller coaster. This is one of those books.

It’s hard to take something as overdone as time travel and make it fresh and unique, but Albom has done just that. It all unfolds organically through the lens of a detective, giving a mysterious tone even though I would not classify it as such. Every character has depth and every timeline has meaning. I enjoyed all parts of this book, and the ending really solidifies a 5 star rating. It’s more than a love story, it’s a life story.

“Twice” is one of those rare books that stays with you long after the last page. Beautifully written, emotional, and deeply meaningful, it reminds you how love, loss, and second chances can shape a life. A truly unforgettable read, with a surprise.

Alfie has a unique gift bestowed upon him by his mother. He has the opportunity to redo any moment in time by simply saying, “Twice”. This will have profound and unexpected implications for him and for his lovely Gianna.

This book touched my heart… I absolutely loved the main character Alfie… such a genuine representative of what most human beings would be like if we had the ability to re-do any part of our lives that was painful or embarrassing… I just love this book!

This book was so interesting to me! I liked how it would start to lead you down one path, and suddenly you are on a different path! I had to tune out everything around me and immerse myself in the story; distractions would have me not remembering how we got to the part of the story with the back and forth. A wonderful story about sacrifice, friendship and love!
