Amazing, thank you for such a wonderful book and the mix of humility and love with which it was written! I have a new perspective on gratefulness, wow, you defined it and demonstrated it so amazingly! With all due respect, who knew a true Rock Star could do that, you do rock in a million wonderful ways!

Mike’s humble, honest, authentic memoir provides so many endlessly moving stories that I felt like I had watched a tearjerker, apropos for an autobiography called Heartbreaker. Coming from such humble beginnings, a broken family abandoned by his father early on, but finding his way with friends from the same town who were all dealing with family dysfunction, including his brother from another mother Tom Petty, whom he eerily sounds so similar to when you listen to his interviews, this is one of the most heartwarming memoirs written by a rock musician. You’ll thank yourself for picking up this book.
Thanks for the memories

I was a Hugh Petty fan in high school. This took me through the years—the tours and records. Always loved Hard Promises and I was there to see them in 2017.
This book not only documented all of that, but did it with the love the author had for the true subject.
Beautiful book.
I always read on vacation—reading this book is what I will remember the most.
Thanks

A moving chronological story told from Mike Campbell’s perspective from the beginning after meeting Tom Petty and the trials and tribulations of becoming a meaningful band. From Mudcrutch to The Heartbreakers, Mudcrutch 2.0 and The Dirty Knobs, Mike provided a very moving account of 40 years in the rock & roll business. A must read.
I couldn’t put it down

Fantastic!!! So much history of the Heartbreakers and Tom Petty. Beautifully written without any sugar coating. Mike Campbell should write more as he has a gift of capturing the sentiment and the facts so clearly and succinctly.

This book confirms my life long argument, no disrespect to Tom, that there would have been no Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers without Mike Campbell‘s totally unselfish and masterfully crafted guitar work. Always the right note in the right place. We were listening Mike! and can’t wait to see you and the Knobs in Nashville’s with BBS. Ricky
Bravo!!
