Fantastic read that was incredibly thought provoking. I love the character development for Margaret. The last few chapters felt a little rushed, but all in all, amazing! 9/10

This was an excellent story with believable characters that captivated to pages . I had not realized how difficult it must have been for woman of the early 60’s. Thank you for opening my eyes to how far we have come in the world of today. Freedom to become who we wish. To be able to pursue dreams and find purpose outside of being a housewife. Excellent read.

This has been one of my favorite books of 2025. It is well written, significant and an excellent example of how women (and men) have been tailored throughout our histories.

When I started this book, it went slowly. It felt frothy and a bit fluffy, like a beach read. But as I got into it, I began to appreciate the characters more, and identify with the times depicted, the times I grew up in, the tumultuous 1960s. By the end I was fully into the characters and how their lives interconnected, how they supported and loved each other and developed as women through a period of intense change in the status of women in the United States

I loved the book. It angered me and made me laugh. It's astonishing to me how many women pushed back against change! Margaret was my favorite. And I'm so pleasantly surprised that Walt came around. Glad they all got their happy ending!
Wonderful as always!

I remember the woman’s world of the 60’s!
Although I was too young then, now I must read The Feminine Mystique!
Thank you Marie!
Breathtaking!

Fantastic novel! Perhaps a bit overly sentimental at times, but what work so well here are the depth of characterization and the genuineness of emotion conveyed. A wonderful story about a time and place in American life unfortunately not so far removed from events and ideologies threatening the undercurrents of civil liberties in our country today. Highly recommend!!!
Adored the relationship between these women

What a remarkable book with such dynamic and authentic characters that you cannot help but to love and root for. I fell in love with the Betty’s and was sad when the book ended. They will remain with me for a long time to come
