Feisty women, a handsome movie star who left fame behind, enough problems to keep the pot stirring & a baking granny! What more can you ask for in a book?

A somewhat quirky tale of love, loss and second chances. A HEA with a lot of trials getting there. An overall good story, but a stretch of the imagination at times.

The Spotted Cottage by the Sea is about new beginnings, family, friendship, old promises kept new love. I love Ms. Addler’s books. Her characters are always so portrayed then I want to meet and hang out with them - especially in the reopened tea shop! the Lottie, the whale is a real bonus. I love that the main character was middle-aged and how determined she was to get her new beginning. When I finished, I wanted to start reading again. I do not want to let these characters go!
