I loved the ending, def felt all the emotions. I believe there is a good, strong plot. My only notes, some war stories are hard to follow along. I have to re read or look things up to be better explained. I believe the author assumes we catch on or know things that we dont. Also, just hate xaden’s whole “you can have the truth if you ask the right questions” EW. I think by the end he may have changed his position on that though? idk. I hated his decision in the end (spoiler!!) i felt it was super unnecessary. Violet had herself handled, that choice was stupid. Also why didnt they discuss these scary dreams? basically, love how strong the plot is but I hate how details are missed because of the writer’s wording/writing

I struggle with fiction series but this one has me totally hooked. I told my husband about it when I was about halfway through the first one and he’s already read all 3 books in the time it took me to finish the 2nd. About to devour the 3rd myself so we can discuss 😅 Very good series 👍

Okay it definitely is slower in the beginning but the end had me on the floor screaming and crying and honestly all of part 2 is just better imp but I really enjoyed it over all definitely recommend can’t wait to start onyx storm

One of the best books I have ever read

Saw a lot of things coming before Violet did, even though she was smarter in book 1. She should’ve known about andarna sooner, jack and nolon, wards, serum, etc at their first or second signs. Still a good book! Showed her grapple with ptsd without saying it outright.

On my second read, love the little Easter eggs dropped around, the entire book. I missed a lot of clues on the first read. This book leaves you hungry for more.

This book’s twist killed me. I really got invested in the main characters though it’s hard to track all the side characters. I thought the romance was a little melodramatic but the spicy scenes are this books saving grace.

I had fun, what more can I ask for from a book 🤷🏽‍♀️
