The epic enemies-to-lovers hockey romance from Rachel Reid, streaming on Crave in Canada and on HBO Max in the U.S.

"The book that got me into hockey romance." —NPR's Weekend Edition

Nothing interferes with pro hockey star Shane Hollander’s game.

Now that he’s captain of the Montreal Voyageurs, he won’t let anything jeopardize that—definitely not the sexy rival he loves to hate.

Boston Bears captain Ilya Rozanov is everything Shane’s not. The self-proclaimed king of the ice, he’s as cocky as he is talented. No one can beat him—except Shane. Publicly, they’re enemies. Privately, they can’t stop touching each other.

The smart thing to do? Walk away, once a few secret hookups turn into a struggle to keep their relationship out of the press. The truth could ruin them both. But for Shane and Ilya, secrecy is soon no longer an option…

Man… Rachel absolutely nailed the tension between Ilya and Shane. The way they struggle with themselves and each other feels real, not forced or overly dramatic. You can actually feel what they’re going through, which makes it hit harder. I found myself getting pulled in way more than I expected — like thinking about them even when I wasn’t reading. It’s one of those books where you keep saying “one more chapter” and suddenly you’re way further in than you planned. Honestly just hard to put down

As someone you is starting these books AFTER watching the show, I can genuinely I still learned so much about these characters from this book and eve though it’s spot on with the show I felt as if I was reading/watching all this for the first time. A beautiful story about two lovers longing after each other for so long but yet so scared to face the truth, not just because of coming out to the public but also because they each feel shame for what they believe “they shouldn’t be feeling”. Also, such a great way to showcase supportive strong women for these characters. Every gay man has one 🙋🏻‍♂️ Absolutely loved this book!
