The second in this series, action of the story take time to build, but build the author does! He has created a sprawling universe of a far flung future humanity, that faces an adversary that is so “un anthropomorphic “. This universe comes with a rich and detailed history and mythology, that is revealed layer by layer as the story unfolds, making it a fun and gripping read. I am thoroughly enjoying this series!

Amazing continuation of the series …. Looking for Book 3 now, it’s great writing.

Drags a bit in places, but definitely plot twists one cannot anticipate. Almost as good as the first book, definitely worth the read. On par with Tchaikovsky and Richard Adams, easily.

Epic follow up to the first book. I couldn’t put it down. It goes deep in all the right places. Great character work. I found myself caring for them all. The outer worlds we get to visit with Hadrian and the horrors of the technology there were so good, and make you think of what it means to be human. Very emotional and philosophical writing which I loved. Very much looking forward to the rest of the Sun Eater series.
