Coming late to this author’s series about Scot Harvath, Secret Service Agent, I was very impressed. If the following books are as good as this 1st one, I’m 100% ready to go. How does one take on the upper echelon of the U. S. Government when they are seemingly on their own and being attacked and undermined at every turn ? ? Hold on to your seats, it’s a wild ride.

I tried to slog through this book. Potentially interesting premise but his writing is painful. So many words and descriptions that add nothing to the story. He destroys the story’s flow irretrievably.

An ok action novel with a generally unlikeable hero. Too many bigoted and racists references for my taste. Suggesting that all middle easterners smell is not cute, funny or endearing.

$15 for that. Bummer

I keep coming back to this book, the first in the Scot Harvath series. Brad Thor is a great thriller author and this book sets the character in the same vein Tom Clancy and Vince Flynn. Each time I read it I keep getting drawn further into the story and deeper into the character. Rereading all of the Scot Harvath thrillers now and appreciate the inclusion of a lost part of American culture - Funk music.

Great book. So much action that it’s hard to put down. It keeps you on the edge of your seat

As expected with some twist and turns

Great thriller. Def recommend 👍

This book is my first time for author Brad Thor. I started with a sample and it was so slow going I wasn’t sure I wanted to read any more or pay the purchase price. But then I decided what the heck I would go ahead and I’m glad I did. Once the action started and the plot thickened I didn’t want to put it down!! I’m definitely reading the next book in the series can’t wait to see what adventures Agent Harvath has next!!☺️

The president of the United States is kidnapped. The vice president, his chief of staff, two senators and a very wealthy industrialist are behind this. Secret Service Agent Scoot Harvath is blamed for everything. His entire team is killed and Harvath is disgraced. Blamed for everything. What ensues is an electrifying tale of action, intrigue and bravery Of Scott and his Swiss agent Claudia who is just as deadly as Scott!!! A stupendous read!! Enjoyed immensely!!! My highest recommendation!!
