To really get into this book you need need need maps and illustrations. Without them the book is near impossible to follow and not nearly as good to read.
Mistake? fraud?

I had so looked forward to seeing illustrations in crisp iPad resolution. That was what the description of this purchase promised. After I paid, I found that I had paid for a plain vanilla edition, different cover than the one represented in the description, and no illustrations. Is this a case of sloppiness? fraud in the inducement? I urge all of you who think you're paying for illustrations, and who get none, to join me in raising a fuss.

The description states that there are fifty full color illustrations in this edition of The Silmarillion but they were not included in the book I downloaded. This, in fact, was the only reason I purchased it for my iPad considering that I already own the book itself (sans illustrations).
I'm disappointed.
