A riveting book. Like the main character there were no frills, no diversions, just a screaming straight line to the finish. I loved it.

Another great book by TJR, Carrie is a strong character and becomes so much more lovable in the last quarter of the book. Excellent!!!

I’m not even a tennis fan but the characters are so vivid and relationships are so intricate. I love the relationship between Carrie and her dad and the slow love Carrie accepts along the way.

I thoroughly enjoyed this. It was very predictable and yet still fun to read. It was a page turner for me. Sometimes we just need to read fun books.

TJR has this unique ability to take a topic you may know very little about and make it an undeniably interesting. This story is about so much more than tennis. The way she captures resilience and perseverance is inspiring. This novel is truly motivating with a character that is not perfect but you can’t help but fall in love with her anyway. The ending isn’t the one that is wanted but is what is needed. This book is truly special.

Honestly obsessed with this book. I was sad when I finished. This story is so motivating and pure. You love Carries character and her dad brings your heart joy. Their bond is incomparable. And Bowe’s love for Carrie is adorable. We need a sequel. ASAP.

I could not put this book down. I like tennis but am not obsessed but this book kept me going from 11pm until 3:30am. I couldn’t wait until my morning coffee and binge through until the end!
