Description

To have found God and still to pursue Him is a paradox of love, scorned indeed by the too-easily satisfied religious person, but justified in happy experience by the children of the burning heart. Saint Bernard of Clairvaux stated this holy paradox in a musical four-line poem that will be instantly understood by every worshipping soul:
We taste Thee, O Thou Living Bread,
And long to feast upon Thee still:
We drink of Thee, the Fountainhead
And thirst our souls from Thee to fill.
Come near to the holy men and women of the past and you will soon feel the heat of their desire after God. Let A. W. Tozer’s pursuit of God spur you also into a genuine hunger and thirst to truly know God.
About the Author
Among the more than 40 books that he authored, at least two are regarded as Christian classics: The Pursuit of God and The Knowledge of the Holy. His books impress on the reader the possibility and necessity of a deeper relationship with God.

    “The Pursuit of God” is a biblically-sound masterpiece that I found difficult to put down! It is very powerful and is a nice way to just breathe, for anyone tired of fighting extremely hard to remember God’s truth. Even if you know the Bible front to back, you may notice more and become deeper in love with God.

    This book is great. Honestly it touched my heart so much. I love that it isn’t full of fluff but that it hit deep and revealed some very real stuff. I would 100% recommend this book to every professing Christian. Even if Background beliefs are different it still challenges you.

    I read a chapter of this while I breastfed my baby to sleep every night. It was a really good read. The prayers were beautifully put and the overall call to pursue God was not only theologically sound, but they warmed my Christian heart in a way I hadn’t had in a long time!
